                      Private Essay Review

We strive to make high-quality essay review accessible to all. There are various ticket options to accommodate different income-levels and needs. If none of these options work for you, check out our monthly free office hours and stay updated on free resources sent by email.

You will receive a 20-30 minute video with feedback on your essay. The feedback will focus on what about your essay is working well and what can be improved. This will be a high-level review and will include some minor writing/grammar tips, but not a detailed proofread. You can also book a 1-hour private Zoom call with Lauren.

You will receive your feedback via a recording sent by email and a marked up document. You will receive feedback 3-5 days after you submit your essay for review.

Feedback will be from one of our qualified instructors. We will choose the instructor who is the best fit to give you feedback.

Asynchronous Office Hours include a high-level review of one essay, where I record and send a screenshare video giving you feedback on your essay. The recording will be around 20 minutes. The feedback will focus on what about your essay is working well and what can be improved. This will be a high-level review and will include some minor writing/grammar tips, but not a detailed proofread.

The difference between regular Office Hours and Asynchronous Office Hours are that they are NOT at a scheduled time with a back and forth conversation. Instead, you will receive your feedback via a recording sent by email. You will receive feedback 1-3 days after you submit your essay for review. If you have a Dec 15th deadline, make sure you send me your essay no later than Dec 11th (sooner if possible) so you have enough time to incorporate feedback.

FREE School, Scholarship, & Job Office Hours

People learn best from talking things out and seeing examples. In these small group sessions, I will review written drafts of your personal statement, scholarship essays, or cover letters and give you feedback.

Additionally, we can discuss any questions you have about the application process, any challenges you need support overcoming, etc.

Please note that these sessions will be posted on YouTube. If you want to share your essays, please remove your name and any personally identifiable information. If you are not comfortable sharing, you are welcome to join and listen to the feedback, and you can also check out my small group private office hours.

We only have time for a few people to share their essays, but everyone is welcome to listen and learn from the feedback. The session will also be posted to YouTube. Private office hours have a fee of $40 and are limited to 3 people and everyone gets feedback. The sessions are not posted publically.
