This interactive workshop is about aligning your interests and skill set with a local (or global) problem that needs to be solved. I will take you through a few brainstorming exercises to figure out what project ideas are a good fit for you and your application. Then we will turn that idea into what the application calls your “Commitment to Action”.

About Me: I am a current CGI U mentor, where I volunteer my time supporting students who are selected in the program in implementing their Commitment to Action. I have over a decade of nonprofit experience, developing and implementing programs in six U.S. cities and 14 countries. I’m leading these workshops because I’m passionate about supporting people of color and first generation college students in accessing opportunities like CGI U.
